Errorcode A2 no post on Maximus Xi code

i have a maximus xi code and it got me the errorcode a2 in the pretest

my parrts are

9900k

2080 ti

32gb trident z rgb ram

970 evo

850 w rmx corsair

360 asus rjiujin 

 

itried almost everything.

Start with no drive

With the 970 evo in each slot

970 evo with my barracuda one

barracuda only

 

 

At the back of the motherboard are cmos clear and biosreset i think should i press any of them?

Try to boot without any drive connected

That's probably not the issue cause the manual says a2 means something is connection wrong.  Try booting just with the cpu, ssd and 1 ram stick, take everything else out of the pc.

A2 is the code for IDE detect, usally related to storage issues. But like hconverse02 said, try the bare minimum and go from there

Could be storage, but if storage seems fine it could also be anything else lol

Reconected every cable. did the bare minimum. 1 ram, cooler and drive and still a2

I heard of downliading the driver on a usb stick and thats all i know but if it cant even post how do you do that?

Read your manual about update bios vis usb.

TahoeDust is right. It should be in the manual. Or search for videos. There are plenty of them for Asus boards

Probably, but try reseating your cpu (check the pins while your at it and upload a picture), maybe it's just not contacting

no nothing but something odd whent on! every time when i pluged in the psu and activate it the fuse shorts out and i have to go to the fusebox and turn it back on! could the problem lie with the psu?

Do you have it set to 240v cause you're in germany?

yes but shouldnt that be in the psu already preinstaled when i bought it in germany! but i had nothing active exept my monitor everything was pluged out! that confuses me to hell!

Never mind, I looked at the rm850x and it doesn't need to be switched.  I don't know why that's happening unless your outlet isn't rated for like 500w which would be absurdly low.

Have you gotten to the bios at all? Have you tried cpu, cooler, ram and nothing else to try and get to the bios?
