Hi, I'm thinking of getting into watercooling my components, and is planning to go on stages. First, I'm water cooling the CPU (i7 950), then when the GTX 780 comes out, I'll add that into the loop.

So I was wondering about the loop orders and stuff, like for now, I'm planning to go Reservoir>Pump>CPU Block>Radiator>Reservoir. The parts I have not decided yet, probably one of those starter kits from XSPC, only thing decided for now is at least a 240 radiator.

But when the GTX 780 comes out, I was thinking of adding another radiator with it, at least a 360, and with the loop like:

Reservoir>Pump>CPU Block>240Radiator>GPU Block>360Radiator>Reservoir.

Or do I go with what other people go with where the CPU block goes to the GPU block then onwards to the radiators?

Is my loop worth the mess (visualising it in my head, looks real messy). Also, would 240 + 360 be enough for a CPU + GPU loop?

The best type of loop is the smallest runs possible. I'm doing a water cooling system in my Corsair 600t, it's horrible lol. I'm trying to get the shortest runs possible. mines

Res/Pump(combo) -> 360 Rad -> Cpu Block -> Gpu (sli) -> 200mm Rad -> Res.

Update, I'm going to be using XSPC rads, blocks. They are good quality. That's should be enough rad space for what your cooling. However you may need to have the fans on all the time at a decent speed. What case are you using?

Loop order does not affect temps at all. The ONLY thing to have is the outlet of the res going into the inlet of the pump so that the pump won't run dry. After that, make no difference how you hook it up. Typically though, if planned out, you will run so that you have the shortest possible runs. Mostly an aesthetics thing. :)

Thanks Agent Maine, for the advice and the picture. I guess since the order doesn't really matter, I'll just hook it up as I go.

In my opinion, it should be res/pump>rad>CPU>Rad>GPU>Rad>Repeat.
