If it's not fixed when you get it back and you can't do anything about it, and if your warranty hasn't been violated, then you should just get a free replacement because I doubt the second one they send you would be broken.

I guess so but if I can RMA it I'm selling it off and probably save the money and use the 1080s

Here are my options

Dual LG 29 Inch 1080p 75hrz  ultra-wide

Single LG 35 Inch 1080p 120hrz ultra-wide

Single LG 29Inch 1440p 100hrz ultra-wide

All monitors are freesync, 21:9

I can stick with my system now or upgrade to a X470 motherboard and run dual gtx 1080s

Ryzen R5 2600

MSI B450M Mortar titanium

Corsair Vengeance Pro ddr4 3000mhz 16gb cl16

Zotac GTX 1080 mini 8gb

Q Leadtek GTX 1080 Hurricane 8gb (on standby)

I intend to use it mostly for racing games like F1 racing 2018,forze 2 and racing simulator.

I'm hoping to play at no less then 90fps

Best Value Build List

Budget 1080p System (RGB) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7v2Lmq - (this build comes with two free games with the RX 570)

if you have the card, x470 is a great choise. I would personally love that 1440p ultrawide for most games, but it's personal prefference here.

I think you mean 35 inch 1440p UW, since the 29's are 1080p.

If you want that performance in an UltraWide, you'll need to run medium settings at 1440p or high at 1080p.  Get a 1080Ti for 90+ on high at 1440p UW.

Hmm if you sold both 1080s a 1080ti or 2080ti would still be better.  Did you send the 2080ti you had back to wherever you bought it for replacement?

Okay, cool.

Well since money isn't an object, I'd keep going 2080Ti til you get a good one.

No offense to Steve, but I wouldn't spend $1200-$1300 on something then let someone else have it for a while when it broke.  If that isn't a big deal to you, why are you settling for 1080's?

AMD's new cards may compete with the 1080Ti or 2080, but the 2080TI is Nvidia's ultimate performance card.  AMD would have to make 2 leaps up to get there.  They barely got near the 1080 last time, they need more time.

Yep.

So this thread needs to be done.  RMA your 2080Ti, run a real 34 or 35 inch 1440p monitor, and game on.  Done.

They've been cocky for a decade.  I would too if I had the best product in the world.

If it's not fixed when you get it back and you can't do anything about it, and if your warranty hasn't been violated, then you should just get a free replacement because I doubt the second one they send you would be broken.

I guess so but if I can RMA it I'm selling it off and probably save the money and use the 1080s

That's a bad idea because sli support will fade pretty quickly and the 2080ti is way better than 2 1080s. It'd be smarter to rma it then just sell the 1080s, because 1 card is better than 2 and the 2080ti is the newer card of the two.
