Downsizing My Build

FK2tame

Hello there, I'm from Malaysia & this is my downsized build to smaller case. I started building my pc after my eGPU broke (before this i gaming on my old MSI GE70 Apacher Pro w eGPU). In March 2018, after my eGPU broken, I decided it's time for me to have a proper pc for gaming & editing (I'm working as graphics designer & multmedia).

At first I didn't care too much on the pc case size so I just made some research on what specification I wanted + with the GPU that I have from my eGPU. I went up to my local pc builder and ask for the specification I wanted and didn't care about the pc case size. After receiving my pc, i realize the size is bigger than i expected and it's harder for me to handle since i'm travelling from my hometown to my workplace.

The goal of this downsizing is to be compact in size, didn't broke my wallet (i researched to make sure i can transferred all my part into the new case) and will not have RGB function (because the previous mid tower case have tempered glass and i became eager to change my part with RGB, don't know whats wrong with me)

I also have purchased aftermarket cooling system for my GPU that is Arctic Accelero Xtreme III because of the stock Palit fans are loud and the temp is high during gaming & full load. My plan also is to make sure i can fit the aftermarket cooler inside my new case (I admit i purchased the cooler 1st without thinking it will fit in my new case or not)

My current case doesn't have intake fan placement (only the PSU at the front that has intake outlet at the bottom front panel of the case) and only one exhaust fan at the back of the case.

Stress test temperature for CPU, minimum is around 42 and during 100% load is around 65 (using Aida64) and for GPU, minimum is around 33 and during test is around 55 (using Furmark).

What are your comments on my downsized build? Do you love it or not? Please do tell me if i can make room for improvements as i like to hear you out and see what i can do.

I'm more impressed by how the 'too long' cooler managed to look ok because of the cover.

Me too. I need to cut off some of the front grill of the case to fit the cooler and i'm really glad when i can shut the cover without damaging the cooler.

Thank you sir. The case didn't come with any dust filter (since there is no air intake) so supposedly with the temps my build should be fine?

it became shorter and wider .... still a large case

As i stated in my first goal, to have compact size build. Of course I can go for other SFF case like Dan Af-SFX ($270) or NCASE-M1 ($195) but that also need me to spend on new mITX, low profile cooler thus will conflict with my second goal, didn't broke my wallet. FYI, that case only cost me $60 including shipping.
