Hi all, I would like to ask some question about I have a custom build desktop but I not know much about desktop:

1. I have an Intel Core i3-8100 desktop but no external graphic just Intel UHD Graphics 630 on board. I am not sure which is good one Nvidia or AMD. So I want to upgrade Graphic to GTX... or using AMD graphich ? ( Maximum level like 1060 or 1070..etc)

2. I have an old laptop and I took out laptop hard disk, so can I use it for Desktop hard drive? anyway to convert to that? Thanks you all in advanced

What games do you play or want to play? The i3 8100 isnt a bad chip since its a 4 core 4 thread CPU. For gaming, the sweet spot with that CPU will likely be an AMD RX580 8gb or GTX 1060 6gb or 1050ti 4gb. A GTX 1070 will likely be bottlenecked by it at 1080p 60hz, assuming this is what you are rocking on integrated graphics.

Get something like a gtx 1060 or RX 580.... U can find them fr around $200 brand new..

If u wanna go used route, u can look fr something like a gtx 780/780ti/970/980/980ti or r9 fury/fury x.

Also, yes, you can used that laptop drive with ur desktop no probs. But, laptop drives are usually slower l, they run at 5400rpm. U can add an optane stick and speed up that hard drive.
