Have you tried updating your bios? I had this problem as well, but it was easily fixed by updating from f7 to f18. I don't know if it'll be your solution, but it worked wonders for me.

Can you give us the model number of the ASUS STriX R9-380X that you have?

Different versions/models will have different power connector requirements.

Let it be 2x 6-pins, or whatever, they are MANDATORY connections, NOT optional.

Corsair's VS-series power supplies are not very good in terms of build quality, and voltage ripple is on the higher side.

Your video card uses 2 PCI-E 6-pin power connections.

Other ASUS models, or from other brands (e.g. Sapphire, XFX, or MSi) can have different power connections (e.g. 1 PCI-E 8-pin, or  6-pin + 8-pin, etc).

Make sure the two PCI-E 6-pin connectors are connected, and not loose of not 1/s way in, and such.

I would also recommend that you keep an eye on the video card temperatures, using either one of these:

  • MSi Afterburner
  • GPU-Z
  • AIDA64
  • HWMonitor
  • HWINFO

If temperatures gets too high, it can also cause black-screen issues, system crashes, artifacts/graphical glitches, etc.

Do you have a R9-380 or R9-380X ?

It looks like the R9-380X uses 2x 6-pin, while the R9-380 1x 8-pin.

Your card should have a small white sticker on it with the model number (e.g. STRIX-R9380-DC2OC-4GD5-GAMING)

Okay, 67 / 68 sounds normal for the GPU core.

Are you able to get temperature readings for the VRMs (voltage regulation modules) or the VRAM (video memory) ??

You can just go to your MOBO's manufacurer website and navigate to drivers and download the latest version. If you'd like you can PM me on Discord @Darkoptix#7618 for instructions on how to do so :)
