crashing

hi guys i was suppose to get a gtx 1050 ti but opted for a r9 380x direct 11 oc 4gb strix now when i go play a game after 5 mins the game crashes and i have to sign out and back into pc to get control of it again i have done any over clocking i wouldnt know where to start on it temps are staying between 42 and 48  please help me and hope its not a knackered card was second hand 

 

edit also about 10 mins after this post i start getting alot of brown large type pixels down the left hand side taking half the screen
