I have a problem with my Windows 7 PC. Recently, it has been working fine. I recently upgraded to Windows 7, but forgot to install new drivers. The only thing I reinstalled was Avast AV, but then stability issues pop up. Before it logs on to the desktop, it gets the BSOD and says that ASWSNX.sys was corrupted and was caught to prevent corruption to the entire PC. It kept doing this every time I try to start up without Safe Mode. Now the PC is rendered unusable, unless the error goes away. Could Avast be causing this error? The PC cannot be used because it always pops up with the BSOD, and Safe mode, there is no internet, since I was a dummy and accidentally got rid of it.

Avast has buggered up somehow. Look at doing a system restore with your Windows disk and installing another AV program.

So I should remove Avast and see if the problem goes away?

If you can, that's a good place to start.

I removed it, but now I have a new error. Now it says klif.sys is corrupted and needs to be updated. What program can possibly do this? I knew it was a mistake to not update drivers after upgrading.

I have Kaspersky.  It appears that you have remnants of a Kaspersky installation on your system which may be corrupted.  Try using the Kaspersky Removal Tool to get rid of this.  After that, if you wish to still use Kaspersky, reinstall it.

Edit:  When removing any antivirus software, it is a good idea to disconnect your Ethernet.  Some people suggest installing the program while in Safe Mode to ensure the program is fully functional.  Once that is done, reconnect to the Internet in Normal Mode to obtain the latest definitions.

But I never installed Kaspersky on my PC. How can it crash my PC like that? Stupid AV programs like Avast and Kaspersky frustrate the shit out of me and make me waste time solving BSOD problems like this dumbass shit.

You're absolutely positive that you have not?  According to DriverView, klif.sys is a Kaspersky Antivirus process.

Assuming this is a fresh install, you probably don't have that many programs on your system right now.  If this is the case, you could just try doing another fresh install.  This time though make sure you download all of your necessary drivers through your motherboard manufacturer's website to a USB device.

It was just an upgrade, not a fresh.

Just Avast and Zonealarm. But those errors are long gone. Now I went to reinstall my network which I foolishly removed and tried to remove it because it came with a ndis.sys BSOD and before the installation finished, it came up with the same error again and the damn NETWORK CONTROLLER DON'T WORK!!!!!!

I have to keep booting into Safe Mode in order to avoid any BSOD.

I'm pretty sure ZoneAlarm also ships with klif.sys

ndis.sys is a legitimate system file though.. and its also been the target of malware in the past too.. It would be advisable to back everything up an reinstall
