So I noticed that my Athlon 760k is running abnormally hot when idling. In task manager it says my cpu is running at about 30% load but all the applications in task manager are not using more than 8% total. I have the NZXT repsire heatsink on it too and its doing worse than a stock. When I feel the heat sink when the computer is running it feels cold. Any Idea what's wrong?

Did you seat the cooler correctly?

Perhaps the thermal reading is just an error. What are you using to monitor temperatures?
