RTX 2080 ti availability

Acceptive

So the RTX 2080 ti has been out for a month now.  It is EXTREMELY difficult for me to get my hands on one at MSRP (999-1200).  They all seem to sell out within 30 seconds on Newegg.  Does anyone know where I can find one?  Also does anyone have an estimate on when it will be more available?  Before 2019?  I currently have a gtx 970 and it's really starting to age at 1440p and cannot do 4k decently at all.

Oh great, we're already having a repeat of the 1080 ti availability when mining was a thing.

just put your pre-order in, and use old rig, and forget about it, it'll show up one day, or you can get a 2080 (although i know some people won't do that with rumored raytracing performance) soon tm

Exactly.

Just get a 2080 then

Ehhh.  I feel 800 is too much for that, its like barely any more than a 1080 ti, imo that 2080 ti is the one worth getting.

Yea I would but I can't find a place that does pre orders?

Same problem over here, all online shops say either that it is not in stock, or that it will be available at the end of novermber, which i honestly don't even believe anymore at this point.

I also don't want to buy a 2080 instead, because it's not that much faster than a 1080 ti

That being said it’s an extra 400/600 pounds/bucks for only 25percent gain

Aren't there many issues with SLI, like microstuttering and stuff? Or is that a thing of the past nowadays?

U don’t need maxed out 4k bro a 2080 oc will do 4k with more than aceptable setting at 4knot to mention dlss is gona push it past current 2080ti performance

a 2080 is over 3 times the power of a 970

u really won’t be disappointed

Honestly is so much more money for not much more performance there are better options bro

i have a 2080 And it does 80 fps easy in 4k if u drop a few rediculass settings to very high instead of ultra

don’t forgetting most bench marks are with maxed out as too with u don’t really need at 4k

u 100 percent don’t need a 2080ti

coming from a 970

Is the 2080 ti also using dlss?  Also yea some of those settings are ridiculous and ill lower em on my 870 and get huge fps gains.

Honestly, there's rumors going around about qc issues with 2080tis.  I'd wait for Lisa's keynote about Navi in January and see what AMD has to offer with 7nms rather than blowing all that money now.  For all we know, AMD could curb stomp it for less.  Nvidia is having production issues with them, iirc.

Interesting.  Also yea ive been sonsidering waiting for amd navi, good idea.  Also im looking to future proof for about a good 4-5 years.  I do that with all my electronics.

I do not.  I only need 60.  But some games are VERY intensive and I also like to future proof.

I found my first one at Microcenter and the second came directly from Nvidia last week after they put them up again on their site.
