DDR 4 can be run in single, dual or quad channel IIRC. So, no, it's not a "dual channel" stick, it's a single/dual/quad channel setup or "kit/box/pack".

But when I talk to people like my wife, who clearly hasn't the least care to UNDERSTAND HOW it works and just wanting to know whats wrong with it - Im still okay with how I explained it to OP.  Hes not fixing anyones PC anytime soon.

How would you feel if I said the water for the car goes in the side cap? Right, because I don't want to get technical, and it does go in the car...

 

Or should I say it goes in where the water goes under the hood?

Well, water is only utilized in a few places so if the person posing the question cannot answer what a Gas Cap is (not the OP in this case, he gave us specs, hes aware the car has a motor, transmission, fuel lines - just not how the work) than you should probably refine your answer.  Since he provided pics, specs, and installed it himself (he said he built it if you read it)...well he has more knowledge than my wife.

 

So depending on the question posed (LIKE I SAID BRUH) that could work.  Because I can put water in the side cap on the engine bay most likely (will either be the Water Reservoir for the cooling lines, or it could be for the Windshield wiper fluid, which will freeze in the winter but we haven't gotten that far in your dumb question)

You aren't comparing it.  You are talking about cars and correlating very vague responses to unasked questions vs fully articulated  responses to ensure someone who would be lost in the information, is.

 

So no, in your response case I imagine the OP (remember we both have to play pretend with your pretend responses to unasked questions) would say "My engine overheated, here is a pic of my engine bay but I am unsure of where to add water"
