Hello, I am planning to add more RAM to my system, currently, I have G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2x 8GB) (Dual Channel) 3000MHZ DDR4 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM. So, if I wanted to add more what would I have to stick too? Would I be able to get any DDR4 RAM or would it have to be more like DDR4 RAM that is 3000MHz or anything else. So pretty much I am just wondering what kind of RAM I have to stick too when adding it to my system.

Try to use ram with the same speed and cas latency ratings, preferably the same model ram you bought before for maximum compatibility. Afaik, you should be able to use any brand, but do try to find your receipt (or e-receipt) for your already purchased ram, and buy the same set as before. Just out of curiosity, what do you need 32 gigs of ram for?

It's best to use the same kind you already have in there for stability purposes. But, if you got RAM at a different speed your system will run at the lowest speed detected, so your other sticks would downclock themselves to match whatever is slowest. So that's why it's usually best to just buy the same type you already have.

As said above, you can use any DDR4 ram; however, this may make your ram unstable, and whatever ram has the lowest speed is the speed all your ram will run at.

Well currently with 16GB I am using it all when I play games like Rust and Fortnite and other games. Sometimes I also like to run them at the same time and I need more ram dedicated to the game.

So it doesn’t matter what DDR4 RAM I get it doesn’t matter it will just run at the slowest speed that I have so it would be better to get the same speed and DDR4 correct? Also if it said SDRAM in the title does that make any difference?

Well, SDRAM is Synchronous dynamic random access memory, which stays synchronized with the computer's clock which allows greater efficiency in storing and retrieving data compared to asynchronous DRAM, which is Dynamic random access memory. DRAM is one of the most common forms of RAM right now, and its a simple way to store data on a computer for a short period of time. In all, Synchronous dynamic random access memory is the same as DRAM except that regular DRAM is asynchronous, so, they should be compatible
