I have this old PC that i was going to use as a data sharing network and i was wondering how i could. I've tried to install Ubuntu 16.04 but no luck. What should i do?

What storage config?

 

You can easily share a folder in windows.

 

What error did the ubuntu install have? Try 18.04

i don't know 4 sure but heres basics.

core 2 duo @ 2.20 GHz

2GB DDR

320GB HDD

 

Ubuntu doesn't have any install issues i just dont know how to use it for data servers. Besides when i do it doesn't show up in windows.

If you want ubuntu to be a nas install samba. Here is a guide

Have a similar cpu in my nas.

 

Make sure to get the 32bit version of Ubuntu.
