How much storage space should I get for my new build?

legend8887

This is not supposed to be a debate if WD or Seagate is better... I just need to know how much space I should get for my new build. Right now I have an Alienware X51 (don't laugh). It has a 2TB Seagate HDD. I have used about 700GB of my HDD and when I upgrade to a whole new computer how much space should I get? I am going to get a 128GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD, but what about for the HDD? I was thinking a WD Black 2TB because I have almost used a TB and I plan on getting BF4, Watch Dogs, The Division, etc. (all huge games)

Depends on how much you think you need. Normally maybe 1 or 2 teryabytes of space is fine for about 2-3 years I suppose, unless your writing down about 20-30 gigabytes of data each week or so.

2 TB is safe. You could always just add another 2TB when the other gets close to full.
