I have a new build and asrock has a firmware update for intel microcode.

 

Is it important ?

(new firmware asrock z370 taichi  ver3.20...........I flashed ver3.10 on build day before w10 pro install)

Generally, you shouldn't do a BIOS update unless it fixes a problem you're having or supports a new piece of hardware you want to install, as there's always a risk of bricking your board.

I know there's a high risk of bricking mobo during bios updates and i guess ive been lucky cause i have always updated all my pc's to the newest bios and never had an issue.

 

I was just curious with all the talk of some new cpu specific updates causing a decrease in performance ,but i'm glad to say i don't notice any difference in performance since i updated last night.
