need help troubleshooting

My problem:

   My pc seems stable but crashes about once a month at a totaly random thing.

   When this happens the screen freezes and a colored noise comes over it.

   The audio also becomes extremely loud noise.

   I thought that it was the heat but i ran a gpu benchmark and a ram test simultaneously for hours without any errors.

   I can run benchmarks all day without any error, or so i thought until i looked at the memtest screen this morning.(i let it run at night)

   It showed the included screen, 10k+ errors only on test 6, range (1200mb - 22000mb).

   Are these false positives?

   What can i do to get to the cause of the problem?

 

My specs:

   CPU: i7-8700k

   MB:   asus z370-e

   RAM: 24gb crucial ballistix sport (BLS4G4D240FSA.8FADG *2 and BLS8G4D240FSA.M16FAD *2)

   GPU: gigabyte 1080ti

   SSD: Samsung 970 evo 500gb

   all at stock with ram at the xmp profile of 2400mhz (the only one it has)

Did you every experience bsods about memory faults or uncorrectable errors?

I dont get bsod's or dumps.

Pull out your ram sticks and test them 1 by one, I suspect a bad stick.

but it said error range: 1200mb - 22000mb.

Could it still be 1 stick?

That's just the memory area they were testing at the time of the errors, it doesn't mean that entire area is bad.

 

Stick by stick method 100% recommended. It's a pain in the butt but worth it in the end. 

 

If a set of ram is newer than the others just test that pair together to save time, then you can narrow it down to them individually if it fails.
