OC Quick Question about 8700k...

Hey, I was just wondering what the voltage is to not go over when overclocking your cpu? I dont have my pc on 24-7, but I do have it on everyday. I was told dont have it higher then 1.4v is that correct? Side note, I have an Asus Z370-E motherboard. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
