I'm looking at a new build,

the ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme has it all... and it'll require 2 x 24-pin ATX power connectors, 4 x 8-pin PCIe power connectors, and 2 x 6-pin PCIe power connectors JUST TO POWER THE BOARD when it' fully loaded.

Will the Corsair ax1600I power this or do I need 2 of them as have only got 1, looking art a workstation build with the upcoming Xeon W-3175W

doesn't seem to be much info out there but figure the pro's will know a lot more than I do

Thank you

Practically no single power supply has more than one 24 pin connector.

You'll want more than one unit. Not to mention a case that supports multiple PSUs, such as the Corsair Obsidian 900D.

thank you so much Crunchy Dragon I knew it was a newbie question & didn't expect anyone to bother to come back.

I've gone with the 1000D which still doesn't seem to say if it supports a 14"x14" MB so a bit of a gamble. Thank you so much for the reply.

Bit Annoyed have to drop another chunk on another  PS but you have cleared that up for me...

with a cpu that costs thousands of dollars alone spending $400-450 more on a psu is nothing

I run a program called Nuke from the Foundry working on shows like Infinity Wars, but this will be for Capture One. I guess overkill, but no point in building lite

depending on the application something like an i9 9900K may perform better because not all apps take advantage of so many cores

well the board seems to say

The new ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme is a one of the highest-end motherboards I've ever seen, with an unbelievable amount of power and features crammed into a huge Super ETX form factor motherboard.

The case seems to be the biggest I can find

To be fair, you don't NEED two 24-pins to run the board.  The extra leads are more for the additional +3.3V and +5V you'll need to fill all those RAM slots up.  But the board works fine with one 24-pin.

Also:  Where are you located?  If you actually need more than 1600W, your mains may not be able to handle it if your mains voltage is low.  But like I said, it's not so much the board NEEDS that much power.  It just needs the extra current on the non-primary rails.  A 1000D with an AX1600i and an SF450 would actually allow you to max everything out on that board.
