Hello fellow tech nerds,

 

I come to you with a dilemma. As an aspiring tech geek who is aspiring to build his own PC, I have been looking at the MSI GTX 1050ti (The black and red dual fan version). I have the budget to buy two monitors, but I am wondering if the stated GPU can handle two monitors. I am prepared to use an HDMI splitter (a decent one that supports up to 1440p.) Would the GPU support these monitors?

I recommend just getting a display port to HDMI cable instead of a splitter. It'll behave better.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Not sure what HDMI splitter you're getting but it might just mirror the displays... you'd be best off just getting a DP to HDMI cable

Also, the graphics card I am using, the Gaming X (sorry for not including that originally) has one display port, one HDMI, and one DVI-D.

get a display port to hdmi cable, then you'll get 2 hdmi out that way.
