I have something that will absolutely trump the two suggestions above: 

 

- KZ ES4 

 

It’s Chinese brand that’s legendary (overrated really) for making cheap earphones that sound good. Well, most of them sound dreadful with piercing highs. But KZ finally nailed it with the ES4. The highs aren’t murderous on these ones. Therefore they are pretty darn good.
