That goes into your modem if you have DSL. It's a phone cable RJ11 or something like that. It goes into your modem which then has normal ethernet ports

I got accepted into the google project stream testing, and I really want to play assassins creed odyssey for free (which is part of the project) but it says my internet sucks with latency and that i need 40ms latency in order to stream.  

I tried disconnecting all devices except the TV service from the router and got no luck with the same 52ms latency. I don't want to restart it but it has been restarted recently when the power shut off for 4hours yesterday. 

 

So I think this is an internet provider issue, I've been using cat 6 ethernet cables. 

 

I checked the wall where the router was connected and it was using a cat 5e cable but it's pretty small compared to my cat 6 cable. Is this a specialty cable? Because I was thinking of unplugging the router and directly plugging in my laptop to the wall for less latency.

 

(White cable is my cat 6 cable, black cable tip is the unfamiliar cable)

It's for land line phones.

 

The faceplate you have there looks like it's AT&T trying to get you phone and internet out of the same faceplate for convenience.

Just keeping this here as a
