FreeNAS Using Aquantia AQtion NIC's

So I have 2 Aquantia AQtion AQN-108 5Gbps-2.5Gbps NIC's. One is in my main system cause I have gigabit internet and the onboard 1Gbps nic was getting 0.5Gbps and the AQN-108 got the full speed. The other one is laying on my desk cause I tried it in my freenas box and no NIC showed up for it and im wondering if an patch is coming with support for Aquantia nic's as their price is amazing for the speed they get and are rising quickly in popularity so much that gigabyte is using them soon with the 2.5Gbps chip on new mobos. does anyone know how to get it working or if a driver is coming at all.

Doesn't look like Aquantia make a FreeBSD driver for their cards, so you won't be able to get it working in FreeNAS.

They do have a Linux driver, so you could run ZFS on Linux if you really want to use 10gbE on FreeNAS then you'll need to use a card with a compatible chipset (e.g Intel or Broadcom)

so unless they make a FreeBSD driver they wont work. well time to message customer support hoping they take notice and make one. cause I bet lots of people would buy it for there nas if it works

I can almost guarantee people have asked, but worth asking them to add more pressure to them to do it
