I love my Pixel 2 XL and have had no gripes about it, except one. I'll plug it in to charge in the morning and it'll tell me it's rapidly charging. I'll leave it for almost a half hour and it won't charge any. To make matters worst when I unplug it it'll drop 5 % or more when I unplug it. After moving to a different part of the house and wiggling it to make sure it's plugged in it'll work, but I've tried doing that first thing in the morning and it'll still do it. It only charges on at least the second attempt. Anyone know how to fix it?

Do you have the october security patch installed? There was a known fast-charging issue with the September security patches that caused fast chargers to sometimes charge at the slowest speeds. This was fixed in the October security patch.

If you have the update, I would suggest backing up your device, copying any files off the internal storage, and doing a factory reset. If there is some kind of weird bug that'll probably fix it. Most apps should automatically restore their state after a factory reset if you're using Google's device backup service, so it shouldn't be *too* much hassle.
