970 Evo Temps

Greetings!!

 

I just got in the mail my 970 evo m.2 NVMe drive that I will be using for games/applications. Looking at HWinfo64 and I see 2 different temp readings, Temp 1 is for the Memory chips and Temp 2 is the Memory controller based on what im seeing from searching around the web... well.. the Temp for the Memory Controller is CRAZY high... I do have file transfers going on over to the drive right now... but im pretty sure these temps are unacceptable... so as a result I am looking at getting a heatsink to put on the drive. I would prefer it to be active cooled instead of passive to help move air in that part of the case since there doesnt seem to be a lot. I am looking at something like THIS 

 

NOTE: HWinfo64 is up to date with the latest version 5.88-3510

 

Thoughts.. ideas... suggestions? Improving air flow in my case really isnt an option since its a full custom loop and there is no way to do so without ramping the fan speeds up.

you can try that, since you cant increase case airflow.
