I am currently trying to create a partition on my boot drive in Ubuntu and when I try to edit it it tells me "error unmounting file system". What does this mean? I am fairly new to Linux so bear with me here.

With gparted for typical fs configuration you can't modify your OS partition, you need to do that in a live USB

Please don't argue with me, I am just trying to help, or be helped. (we are all humans right?)
