Help me choose a SATA SSD

I'm thinking of buying a 512gb drive to replace my current 180gb.

The cheaper the better tbh.

Right now I'm looking at four choices:

The Drevo X1 Pro 512gb: Uses a Silicon Motion SM2258XT and Micron TLC 3D NAND

The Drevo X1 480GB: Silicon Motion SM2256K with Hynix NAND (not sure what kind) and DDR3L from Nanya

SanDisk SSD PLUS 480gb: Silicon Motion SM2256S

Kingston A400 480GB: Apparently uses a "2 channel controller"

 

All drives come with 3 year warranty.

Which one do you think I should go for? I'm looking for an SSD ideally under £70, but I could spend more...

Out of the ones you posted, I'd go for the SanDisk SSD Plus. However, I recommend spending a bit more and getting a MX500 or 860 EVO.

The Sandisk SSD Plus is crap, as reviews have shown. The Kingston A400 is okay. I haven't seen reviews of the other two.

Another vote for 860 EVOs.

One has to be proactive, not reactive, to ensure the safety of one's data so backup your data! And RAID is NOT a backup!
