My contract is up for renewal later this month and someone suggested that I should switch over to 3 instead of staying with my current provider EE. This is because its cheaper, I get unlimited data and still get enough calls and texts. My main usage is data, while I haven't often gone over 1GB if I had unlimited I would probably use it all the time.

My main concern is the quality of the network. I've used EE for years when they were formally T-mobile and they had the best network coverage that I've experienced. 99% they claim, the only time I dropped connection was when I was underground and in some Welsh mountains.

But has anyone had any experience with the difference between the 4G networks specifically? That's my main concern. Also I live in London so I will get the coverage regardless I'm talking in general, what's the network speeds and reliability like?

Do whatever you feel necessary, if you haven't had a problem. Don't leave i'd say.

The difference is over £10 a month, thats a lot of money when it comes to contracts.

So then do what you feel necessary, I work for EE but I am with 3. Previously in the past I have owned a phone from T-Mobile and have also had no issues. Either way you'll not be with any issues.

On price alone I would switch to 3 but their coverage is great, I get signal near enough everywhere I go.  EE probably has better 4G as 3 have only just started to roll it out.
