Could someone recommend me a gun for under $160 that shoots at a fast fire rate? I don't have any fields around me I just want to get a gun to mess and shoot at targets with friends. I was going to get the lancer tactical lt 19L but wonder if there is something that shoots faster.

Personally I have a CYMA AK-47, and it shoots pretty quickly.

However, I don't believe fire rate matters very much while playing airsoft.
Also, always buy a separate battery when buying a airsoft gun, the included ones aren't too great.

Depending on the total amount of socialism in your current country, bump that number up to ~$250 and you could get yourself a Ruger .22.

Unless you'r planning to shoot each other, the .22 might be a bad idea. Then again....

a gun that’ll shoot fast (rate of fire) will be a G&P M4 with the specified Lithium Polymer battery. You’ll really risk breaking the gun if you get an 11.1V but it’ll shoot faster. If you break any airsoft gun, good luck fixing it. Like actually; parts can be millimeters or micrometers different for no reason and then not work together.

If you get a G&P M4, get a “long type” motor from brillarmory.com as everything there is quality. That’s why you only get like 3 choices if you’re lucky in each part section.

The zci balanced motor should be good but you can contact the website guy (who is a very experienced tech I’ve conversed with) about what parts to get.

Edit

If you want a high fps gun, see if you can find the G&G G96 working anywhere. It’s a green gas sniper rifle (I have one) that is completely made up of upgrade parts. It’s actually not allowed at ANY field because it’s too powerful & dangerous. But boy... that thing shoots FAAAAAAAAAR and straight for soooooo long.

Ruger 10/22 is a rifle people use for... shooting squirrels at most really. The vid was just a joke.

As someone who had... friends with airsoft guns I had to bum off of, there's not... a whole lot of point if you're not going to get into it and play games. Especially if you only have 1 gun. If you want to have multiple guns and just play with friends you need a bigger space than the average backyard or it's not going to last very long.

If you just want to shoot some cans and whatnot, I'd recommend a BB or pellet rifle since they're more often pump actuated and far more accurate than airsoft and you can pass that around and have shooting competitions.

So I'm just giving some advice on think about what you really want to do. If you want to have "battles" with your friends then airsoft is the better option, but they obviously need their own not crap guns otherwise it gets very one sided, and you need enough space to run around.

If you want to do target practice, BB guns are your best bet. Just be mindful of overshoots and ricochets.
