6. Why are you upgrading?

I recently bought and RTX 2080ti (MSI TRIO) and it arrived. Sadly, it won't fit inside my case.

My Father's PC is dying so I'm giving him my PC and I get a new one.

What do I want from my PC?

Quiet > Future Proof - Bang for the Buck

The PC will be in my own room and rather close to my bed. I don't expect to have my PC on while I'm sleeping (it happens), but I do like to watch my movies and series from the comfort. Hearing the PC buzzing while I'm typing something as simple as this is something I could definitely miss.

Future Proof - Bang for the Buck

This new computer is something I won't be replacing anytime soon so it can cost something to make sure I won't have to

1. Budget & Location

Future Proof -> Best bang for the buck

Netherlands

2. Aim

Gaming PC + Graphic Design (Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign)

3. Monitors

Currently Running 3 Monitors. I won't add more but most likely replace instead. 3 is enough :) (not a place where I need help in)

4. Peripherals

Going to be running windows on the PC. I got my Peripherals sorted

5. Case

Quiet&Fuctions are key points.

My current PC is buzzing a bit too loud for my comfort so I would like when not under load it to be quiet or close to it

I like my front IO. USB 3 and headphone jack preferred (button to turn off lights cool too)

And can it hold my RTX 2080ti MSI TRIO (120 mm x height: 52 mm x Depth/Length: 314 mm)

All things below are up for change and all information is welcome

I appreciate every information. Good or bad, so long it gets me further to my new dream PC

Don't fall for this.

Go for the full 3200mhz RAM why not.

Maybe do something like this

If you can wait a week the reviews and benchmarks for the new Coffee Lake Refresh cpu should be available. It would be worth waiting to see if the new i7-9700K or i9-9900K would be more attractive choices than an i7-8700K.

A much better cpu cooler is required, regardless of cpu choice. If you don't want a liquid cooler, consider the Dark Rock Pro 4 or NH-D15.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
