R9 290 or a GTX 780 ??

shaazzaarr

Wait...what. My brain is strugglin to you need to clarify with simple words :(

You're disagreeing to agree WTF dude ...gamer :P gimme your proper opinion.

All I can read is that your so called opinion is being hypocritical.

What's so complicated? You said that feature wise, nV blows AMD out of the water, and that AMD is struggling to give gamers what they want.....I disagree whole-heartedly and do not share this opinion.....but that's just my opinion as well (since we're all entitled to our opinions). What's so hard about that?

And Hans, I don't get your argument, you'd questioned the benefits of AMD cards other than the game bundle, yet you went on to espouse the game bundle that comes with the GTX780?  The GeForce Experience is crap, it lowers PQ/ingame setting to achieve better framerate, any monkey can do that! How do I know? I have a pair of GTX670 in SLi, tried the GeForce 'Experience' and was not at all impressed. I prefer to set my own ingame setting for a great gaming experience.....but hey, if you like it, more power to you. -_-

780 is good but the r9 290 is slightly cheaper with near the same performance (whether it is better depends game to game) 780 has shadow play and twitch streaming, but whether that matters depends on if your a content creator, and the r9 290 doesn't require a crossfire bridge and has true audio with what could be game changing or not matter at all mantle support.

Hey man i would really go with a gtx 770 because you are only using one monitor for which this gpu would be plenty.

Also it requires less power

It will perform really well

its  in your budget

To directely answer your question if i had to choose i would go for the 780 but i would get the 770 because it is a really good card and just slightly below the 780
