Midtown Madness on Windows 10?

18358414

I've gone and gotten my nephew addicted to PC gaming via Midtown Madness and Midtown Madness II on my old laptop.  Unfortunately, said old laptop crapped itself.  Does anyone know where I can get Midtown Madness and Midtown Madness II in a format that will work on my Windows 10 computer?  Apparently it isn't available on gog or anywhere else, and W10 seems to have a difficult time trying to execute an application that was previously installed in a Windows 98 computer.

Suggestions?

If I have to explain every detail, I won't talk to you.  If you answer a question with what can be found through 10 seconds of googling, you've contributed nothing, as I assure you I've already considered it.

What a world we would be living in if I had to post several paragraphs every time I ask a question.

One option would be to just run a Win 98 VM.  Particularly if nothing you run needs internet access that should work fine since you can just cut it off from the outside world and not worry about any security issues.  Alternatively, I wonder if they might work well on Wine... ?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

Doesn't work in Wine... just tried MMII on W10 and it just endlessly flickered the screen.  A VM might work, though I don't have a copy of W98 (though I have a couple of disk images from the install I used to have) -- Do VMs still make drivers for WIndows 98?

I'm not super familiar with what it would take as I've not done that myself but I know people do.  If you have the image, theoretically you can just throw that in and boot.  Should take very little effort with any luck.  If it does work, hopefully they do have drivers and that will work for you :)
