Hello, I was looking to buy some phanteks halos, but my motherboard doesn't have a rgb header as it is a msi z97 krait edition. I was wondering if it was possible to control the rgb effects using the Cooler Master RGB LED controller or something similar. Would prefer it to be either a remote control or software control.
Thanks :)

They use the standard 4 pin analog system so you can use standard RGB controllers that use remotes.

Sorry for posting in the wrong section ?

I read a lot about the pinouts for the halos are different, where the wire places have been switched. Does anyone know the exact pin layout for the halos?

They use Aura sync and other RGB options from board manufacturers so they need to run the normal standard or it wouldn’t work with them.  The only thing  really different is their use of the keyed connector.

Not sure how the keyed connector they used will affect my choice of rgb controller. It's just that I have seen both "+ G R B", "+ R G B" and  "+ B R G" layout for the pins and I'm not quite sure which one is the correct one for the Phanteks halos. Saw that the Phanteks rgb led strips have a "+ G R B" layout so it's probably the same I assume?

The most commmon is +12V G R B, since they use a keyed connector for use on a motherboard headed or remote controlled RGB box it will require their adapter.
