hi guys im just wondering is this a good build for just a simple file sever to keep just games files and other things?

i prefer an intel chipset  for my file server

 

faster data transfer from disc to disc

 

faster data transfer over the gigabit network

thats a great deal, you really cant go wrong at that price.

 

i personally would spend the extra 50.00 and go for intel because the chipset is for faster data transfer. but for me all my data is stored on the server so i require the fastest data transfer i can get.

 

i use win7 ultimate x64 for my server. i wish i had the cash for win home server 2012 :(

Pretty good deal IMO.

Also the VS 350 is not really good,because it uses bad capacitors inside.

for an extra 5.00 you can get better performance and better memory options.  the description says 4x1GB sticks. the board only has two ram slots lol
