Open-source Team/Progress management Software

Hello there everyone,

 

I am on "the board" of a non-profit swimming organisation and we are looking into a better way to track progress for kids.

Surely this can be done using excel, but this isn't ideal. I have been looking on the internet and still am going to continue that, but thought that I'd drop the question here as well since you guys might just know exactly what I am looking for.

I am looking for some kind of open source program (because it needs to be free) that can track the different lessons, show which kids are in the lessons (nothing fancy, just having dropped them in beforehand and manually transferring them is fine), and which enables us to have a checklist for every kid to see how far their progress is (what techniques they can do).

I am currently thinking of hosting a local ip, which can be accessed by the instructors to access the system, thats why I hope to find something working with mysql and apache or something similar.

 

If I am at all unclear, do not hesitate to ask, I would love to get a solution out of this.
