My friend has a Gtx 1080 and put it in his Aurora R6 prebuilt, which has an i5-7400. He exclusively plays Overwatch and while his setup should be overkill, his performance is suffering compared to when he had a 1060 installed. His power supply is 550W but I'm not sure if that's the problem, and as for his performance in-game it's only around 110fps on low settings. Any advice?

It could be a couple things.

1. There is something wrong with the card, which could be various things

2. Thermal throttling or power issues, as prebuilts are usually built only to support the hardware that was put inside.

3. Motherboards/BIOS revisions used in prebuilts are usually less compatible with consumer graphics cards

I'd try the card with another motherboard, even better in the same case, and see what happens performance wise.
