I just want to make sure I’m not the only person that’s experiencing lower FPS with today’s new nvidia driver.

 Gtx 1070 ti SC

before: average 150 FPS fortnite

after driver update: can’t even reach 100 FPS and it’s very unstable, can’t reach 100 FPS in the lobby

after driver rollback: back to 150 FPS average

No? Are you suppose to? I never rebooted after installaling a new driver. And it used to work fine.

It's a good practice to reboot after graphic driver installation. Sometime it fix some performance issues.

I saw a couple videos on youtube that claimed Nvidia is going to try and nerf pascal with drivers to support RTX.. apparently the 3xx drivers are fine but the 4xx drivers are spooky scary now

But that can't be true .... right?

Clickbait video, ignore them. You have the card, try it yourself.

There was one recent driver apparently where pascal got slower and people started complaining, but it quickly got fixed in the next update.

So i don't think they are nerfing, no evidence of that. They probably just slipped up since they were focusing on Turing and missed something, it happens...

Just tried 416.xx driver in Firestrike, Valley, Superposition, Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa, Ashesssssssss of Singularity.
There is some drops but all under 2% so totally within margin of error.

I'm still on 1803 though, maybe will test again after i get 1809.

Since I've updated WIndows 10 to v1809, I'd install the latest 416.16 WHQL driver for my RTX card, but have yet to install this driver for my GTX1080 and 2x GTX Titan rigs....I did a run with the 411.70 on Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I'll see if there's any noticeable improvement with the 416.16 driver.

yeah I agree with you It is likely just a slip up. I just like spreading conspiracy theories lol

But honestly I think if they could get away with it, Nvidia would do this. They have a pretty bad reputation in corporate ethics.
