Microphone Buzz when PC is On

Hi all,

 

I've been having a strange issue. When I turn on my PC and listen to my default microphone I can hear a background buzz sound. It's low pitch, but consistent in pattern. This does increase when I do graphic intensive things such as playing video games, the higher the FPS the higher the pitch of the buzz.

 

I've removed the microphone as well and continued to listen to it, but still hear it even with the microphone removed.

 

My PC specs are:

• Gigabyte GTX 980Ti Windforce
• Intel i7 6700K Overcloced to 4ghz
• Asus Maximus VIII Hero
• Seasonic x750 Gold
• 16gb ram (Corsair Vengeaance)
• Asus STX Sound Card
• Antlion Audio 4 microphone
• Phillips Fidelio X2 Headset

I've tried the following:

1. disabling the sound card and using the onboard sound, it's all roboty and worse.
2. I've removed my protection on the wall and the power strip
3. reinstalled drivers
4. turned off wifi
5. unplugging monitors and this makes the buzz stop, though I do hear something else I can't quite describe. 

I have noticed that even when in game if i rapidly change the FPS by moving the camera back and forth the pitch will change with the FPS. If i alt-tab out, then the noise will hit a certain level, then drop down to unnoticeable till I go back in. Completely shutting any game off will make the buzz disappear completely. Videos and movies do not trigger this buzz.

 

I have also kept an eye on the GPU clock and when it goes up high, the buzz is high, and when it drops to 135MHz (desktop) there is no buzz.

 

I've read a lot of things online, but none have seemed to help. Any direction would be really appreciated as the onboard sound is truly atrocious.
