Starting a build without a CPU.

My CPU wont come in for a week but everything else is here. Would I be able to start installing everything in but the CPU + CPU Fan and just do it later? I know I wouldn't be able to turn it on but I'm just excited to start.

yeh you can build the entire pc.

but for sake of trouble shooting do not put it into the case .

If you have an Intel cpu, be careful not to bend any of the lashes in the socket, if you have an AMD cpu, you are good, in my opinion.

Overall Acid Panda is right. It is saver to leave the motherboard ram and gpu out of the case, so you can test weather they work properly

I would wait, depending on your motherboard, you may have to flip it over to tighten screws for the cpu heatsink/bracket mount. Or at least flip it over to line it up with the holes. Plus everything else will get in the way. I always start my builds with the cpu first, then RAM, then GPU, then drives.
