I think you don't 100% understand the process.

The windows media creation tool is created by microsoft. Microsoft lets you install a free copy of windows 10 for, well, free. However, you need to input a windows 10 product key into the OS to get it activated. However, if you want, you can just run windows without entering a product key; all that will happen is you can't customize some things and you'll have a watermark in the bottom right hand corner of the screen (which can be removed with a bit of hacking).

All you would need is a flash drive 8gb or bigger and a computer to download it off of

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Yes, everything is compatible.

You could save like $5 with this PSU. Up to you

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/bkp323/seasonic-focus-plus-gold-550w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ssr-550fx

You don't need to. The stock cooler is fine. A cooler better than the stock would cost at least $30 at which point you'd be better off spending the money on an r5 2600

completely free????? and is this compatible still? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Xx2jbX

Yes completely free. Just as a reminder though there are those couple of little things they limit you on if you don't buy a $100 product key.

And yes, that's completely compatible. Though I would grab this newer motherboard instead.

That's the OS itself. You can just download it and the tool lets you put it onto a flash drive so that you can install windows off of the flash drive. If you want a product key you would buy it from somewhere like amazon

Why does anyone even buy the OS when you can get it for free?

What do you mean free? Technically the "free" version where you skip the product key is like a demo, and you dont get minor updates, there is a watermark in the corner, you cant change the wallpaper, and some other personalization features. So technically its not fully windows.

Because there's the couple of restrictions I mentioned. E.g. background can't be changed (though I think there's an easy way around this), the biggest one is the watermark in the corner that can be annoyingImage result for windows 10 watermark

The seller is microsoft and there's almost 2000 reviews it's fine. It's just a problem if you buy from 3rd parties
