I want to build my first computer in October and I was wondering if these parts are any good for the price, my budget is ~$500 CAD, I'm planning to add a 1050 TI on black friday. Is this build any good or is it bad for the price to performance ratio?

Looks fine

Just make sure the memory is on the motherboards QVL (youll find it on asrocks product page for the motherboard)

If you can squeeze, get the 2400g

Then also on black friday make sure to get a 1TB hard drive as well. 240GB worth of ssd will go really quick.

The 2400G is $60 more and on this website it says that the 2200G is faster and it is cheaper.

The 2400g has 4 more threads and will give you better performance when you get your 1050ti

I disagree, the CX550 is the cheapest power supply I'd comfortably recommend. Also 1400 has no iGPU.

Userbenchmark isn't a reliable source for performance comparison. You don't know under what environments each test was run. One guy could be running with LN2 while another could be using Linus's homemade heatsink.

2400G has double the threads with SMT enabled and its GPU has 3 more CU's, it'll run games better while you save for a GPU. It'll also run games better when you get said GPU.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

The site is not reliable.

Common sense suggests that AMD would not price a cpu $60 less than one that has worse performance.

The differences can be small in some titles, but overall the Ryzen 5 2400G delivers higher performance.

I like your changes, except for the psu it's really expensive for the wattage that you get. And I don't need a very efficient psu for this computer.

Keep in mind that the psu directly affects stability and lifetime of all electronic components. It also affects overclocking potential. And should it fail can take the rest of the system with it.

your computer even with something like a 1070 (I hope your not putting more in this) should be fine. Rosewill PSU's are really nice and it should last you a while. Also its 5 CAD less than your other psu.

you're not paying the extra for the wattage, you're paying for the better quality and slightly higher efficiency. and it's cheaper than the CX550M you picked.
