I have the DT770s and they have overall great sound anyway. I have no complaints

the 770's are great for a closed back design  but if you have the choice of those open backed options I'd cross it off the list entirely

 

I love the audio technica 3d wing design it fits my head perfectly I sometimes forget I am wearing anything at all for others not so much

AD700X got dat best soundstage mayne, DT990 is just as good as most open headphones, and DT770 is better than most closed, but still a closed headphone.

 

If positional audio isn't what you mean, it doesn't really matter for gaming.
