Go into BIOS, make sure  your hard drive is set to AHCI, personally i would burn a windows 8 iso to USB  and install from there! Also can you take a picture of your bios screen where secure boot is? So i can see what ttings you have enabled?

are you trying to install to M.2 ssd?

if so, the drivers do not exist for win7/8/8.1 on the install disc/usb.

OP should be able to download the drivers to a secondary memory stick and then add them using the browse button on the screen correct?

yes, on the boot USB (create another folder and copy/paste the drivers to that folder and upon pre-installation, select this driver to continue).

here is a sample driver page of nVME drivers for 7/8/8.1: https://www.win-raid.com/t29f25-Recommended-AHCI-RAID-and-NVMe-Drivers.html
