Gaming/Editing CPU needed

Adobe favors Intel, but basically all other productivity is in AMD's favor. An i7 8700k is the go to for Adobe editing.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

No problem, although AMD CPUs aren't necessarily bad, so I don't think you'd have been disappointed either way.

Yeah, an i7 8700K has literally the best single threaded performance of any CPU (especially overclocked), which is best for effectively every game ever, and a wide range of tasks in video editing.

 

An 8-core Ryzen will win on export/render times because that's a task that can saturate plenty of cores easily, but unless you're in a business where your exports are long and time is money, the i7 8700K will almost certainly give you the most well-rounded and satisfying experience.

If you want good hardware recommendations, please tell us how you intend to use the hardware. There's rarely a single correct answer.
