I need help setting up intel optane for my computer.

I have already installed it and also installed the initialization software as well ,but instead of installing optane drivers it says"bios mode not supported"

Whenever I switch my bios mode from AHCI to intel RST (with optane) in the asus bios it causes windows not to boot with "INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE"

I have already installed the latest bios with optane support

Anyone know a fix?

Update, messing with csm and other bios settings has no effect on whether it works or not

I think you need to reinstall windows for this as changing from ahci to raid/rst model needs a different driver.

pretty sure installing intel rst and optane setup installs the driver automatically

Make sure BIOS is set to UEFI ONLY and not UEFI/Legacy, and make sure CSM is disabled if you have that option.

Edit: sorry should have read more carefully.

Try this http://triplescomputers.com/blog/uncategorized/solution-switch-windows-10-from-raidide-to-ahci-operation/

Then try installation again. If you can’t boot safe mode then your disk is corrupt. Optane sucks, I have one and it’s a pain in the ass

For some reason, none of my drives show up as bootable when csm is disabled. They are listed in the bios as connected SATA devices but cannot be booted to.

The Intel optane ready rst option makes windows fail to boot for some reason.
