Hello, this is my first post here. I would like to get some opinions on what I am aiming to build as I plan on making my purchase over the next week or two.

I tried to use the part picker site but it didn't have all the parts that I chose off of Amazon.

I live in the US and this PC is going to be set up for gaming.

old platform, get an 8700k and Z370 board instead. why are you getting an expensive board and a dinky 212x? spend the money on a better cooler instead. no need for a 1000w PSU, 550w is enough. 750w if you're gonna SLI.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

I don't recommend getting all the parts from amazon because they have hiked prices for some things.  Here's a list on pcpartpicker, its more convenient imo and I just like it better for finding lower prices.  Don't get optane and your cpu/mobo combo is incompatible.

Storage: Samsung - 970 Evo 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive  ($147.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($58.99 @ SuperBiiz)

aside from the above recommendations, you should seriously consider:

- size - when i built my pc i underestimated how big it would be. Make sure you have the space for it.

- motherboard series & size - you don't need a z series mobo, they are expensive

                                             - you can easily game with a H/B series mobo and even go medium/small mini-atx or micro-atx

Just somethings to consider

Current Build

CPU: AMD Ryzen9 5900X

CPU Cooler: Deepcool Gamerstorm Captain 240 Pro

Well you don't really need to spend that much to get a good PC

Vega 56 since the monitor are free-sync, least the price is finally back to normal. Also comes with some free games

v56 is still garbage, because it costs too much. 64 is cheaper, but both options are bad for a reason. If he were to get a different monitor too, just go for g-sync seeing how high his budget is.

$425 with free games isn't too bad, assuming you care about the games.

Saving money is always nice.

Yes I do, gaming is my hobby. This will be my first real gaming machine.

Those are the games that come with the thing, you claim it on an AMD website to get the steam keys, or maybe it's all linked now to prevent reselling.

Really star control is the only one of interest it seems, strange brigade is likely to die off quickly.
