Help with build

So this is my first time building a pc and I'm having trouble with the f panel cord. By case(h500) came with a small front panel cord (not connected to case and no extension) but has a f panle cord connected to the case. Also my motherboard(Asus x470 prime pro) came with a q connecter. Is it correct to connect the f panel cord to the q connecter? What should I do?

I have no idea why the case came with another front panel connector, but it looks like it's just an extra (don't actually know for sure). I would try to turn on the PC with out the extra small cable, and if everything works (i.e. it turns on, the reset button works, and the hard drive activity LED blinks) then you should be good. If it doesn't, don't worry you wont break anything, just nothing will happen. At that point I would read the manual, but that's all I got.

Because there are a couple of older ASUS Boards that need that.
