I'm creating a configuration for a friend, budget is 800€ and is gonna be used mainly for gaming.

My parts selection at the moment is:

Ryzen 1600x 144.59€ (cheaper than the 1600 on amazon.it now)

Asus B350F 113.99€

Ram 2x4 gb 3200 70€

Sapphire Nitro+ Rx580 4gb 229.9€

Hyper 212 LED 35.77€

Corsair CX 550M 67.77€

Masterbox Lite 5 50.13€

860EVO 250gb 54.23€

1tb WD 40€

total 806€

GTX 1060 6gb/RX580 8gb are around 275€ but I really need to stay in the budget, where could I save some money? Mobo and psu are not the cheapest but imo is worth spend a little on them even if you don't directly gain performance. Any advice is welcome!

Nice suggestion, wasn't really happy of the 212evo. My experience with arctic wasn't the best but I've seen this model suggested several times so I'm happy to make the switch

That case is terrible and has no airflow, look for a masterbox 5 black, or Fractal Focus G

Don't know if the Hyper 212 supports AM4 out of the box, The Hyper T4 does for sure

If the ASrock Pro 4 or MSI Tomahawk is significantly cheaper go for that, or buy a B450 board in general if it's around the same price.

Make sure that PSU is the 2017 or newer model

Probably don't need a samsung 240GB SSD unless the price is really low.

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I was really struggling with the case, the masterbox 5 black is 70€ but the fractal one is really good for the price (54€ and is not a sealed plastic bag like the masterbox lite)!

As for the motherboard the Tomahawk is 6€ less and not worth the downgrade I think but the Pro 4 is 80€ and I might consider it to get a better GPU.

The product page on amazon is there from 2015 and the model number is CP-9020102-EU not shure how to know which model is.

Thank you for the great input!!!

As long as the PSU has a white label, it should be fine, the older green labels are not recommended. the white label started in 2015 I think

For that price difference it might just be worth getting the Strix B450, unlikely to do much better on the GPU, most you might be able to snag is an 8GB model, just make sure it has a good cooler.

Or better yet drop the cooler and just buy one later and get an X470 board, the gigabyte one has boost override for potentially better overclocking on the 6 cores

Also likely worth grabbing an R5 2600 if it's not much more

White lable on the psu.

2600 and stock cooler is actually better than 1600x + aftermarket cooler, would you get the 2600,strix b450,rx580 4gb or 1600x,b350 pro4 and rx580 8gb? (I don't think he would mess around a lot with OC so I don't think the x470 is worth it)

Then probably just grab the 2600 and strix board, still might hit 4.3ghz at least if you're lucky.
