See-Saw idle CPU temps

Hey all.

I recently OCed my ryzen 2600 to 4Ghz at 1.275v and I am having inconsistent temps on idle.

While the temps are quite safe, I am still wondering if this sort of mild spikes can shorten the CPU's lifespan on the long run?

A photo is attached of how it looks like while browsing.
It usually goes between 33-46c

Mobo: AsRock x470 Master SLI

CPU fan: DeepCool Gammaxx 400

Thanks for the help!

PS: while system stability hasn't been tested to the max, I've still done a few benchmarks without any crash and the highest temp recorded was on Cinebench at 69c.

VRM is at 37-42c on idle, and max at 55c on benchmarks.

Power mode: AMD Ryzen Balanced

Maybe your CPU is doing something in the background some of those background operations require more power, so the CPU's load increases and with that rises the temperature.

^That's true. Most of it is triggered by mouse movement, opening new tabs, refreshing webpage etc.
The thing is that these spikes are much more mild and have a curvature when I am on my stock frequency settings with voltage offset -100mV.
But when OCed, the spikes can jump up to 20c while browsing.

Perhaps the title is a bit misleading.
Casual (low) workload causes this rather than being on idle.
