So, I am building this pc for my friend and didnt think about the strix 1080 being more demanding so I wanted to come ask for clarification.

The build is;

Z370-F Gaming
GTX 1080 Strix
i5 8600k
16gb DDR4 3000mhz Trident Z rgb
nzxt kraken x62
1tb hdd
250gb ssd

Corsair RM550x Gold-rated

I was planning on OC'ing the CPU to 4.6ghz and the gpu for him but was not sure on how safe it is with the psu I got.

Will it be suitable for the system and overclocking?

Thanks in advance!

RMx is a very good psu. You should be able to get a reasonable oc without exceeding the psu limits.

life saver, thankyou so much.

If you haven't already acquired the psu, you might go for a 650W.

Sadly I have it on the way, however, If it'll last even with some OC, im alot happier, we wont be pushing heavy, might even keep it below 4.5ghz

You should have no problems with the outlined build.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
