Corsair vengeance pro rgb colors stuck

So to start off the topic I've picked these sticks of ram up from my local micro center. They were new and they worked with the same software my keyboard and mouse. I tried attempting a software update and now they are both stuck like that. Anyone has had this issue or know what are some good solutions to fix this? (they are also beyond return date so i can't return them.)

Wait, so are you using iCUE ?  If so that should allow you to mess with the colors and what not ?

Yeah, i'm using icue latest version. ever since this update I've been able to use the ram sticks on Gigabtye fusion and corsair icue. but ever since I tried changing colors it refused to change colors at all. i attempted a firmware update and I don't know if it failed or not but now its stuck like that perminately till i find a fix

Man sorry to hear, Corsair is a bit buggy with its software, very slightly.  Have you tried uninstalling the iCUE then insatll a previous version like 1 version down.  Its worth a shot.  Also have you tried shutting down the computer and turning off the switch so its completely off then try it ?

Hey man thanks for the help, today i called up a friend to test my memory sticks before I try to RMA them. To my surprise they actually still worked, they updated and even changed colors on his motherboard. at this point i may have to change motherboards. they aren't supported on the gigbyte b450 aorus pro non-wifi/wifi versions yet. they were supported on the asus prime b350m-e though.......

That is very odd,  How about a bios update with the aorus ?  I don't see how motherboard should matter,  You put it in slot it recieves power and lights up.  weird Im stumped on this one...

Very late reply, but did you ever get this sorted? I ask as my new vengeance ram was working fine with iCue then done a BIOS update on my prime X470 pro and now they are stuck on what I had them set to before, but out of sync and I can't change them or see them in iCue anymore.
